The what and the why of QaaS
· The SursaTech team
QA-as-a-Service is not a marketing label — it’s an operating choice. The lazy version is “we’ll send you a tester.” The version we run is different: a senior QA lead designs the strategy, sets the bar, and embeds a thin layer of agentic and human testing where each adds the most signal.
The point of QaaS is to deliver a quality outcome — fewer bugs in production, faster releases, a measurable risk reduction — not to fill seats on a Jira board.
Quality is a strategy decision before it is a workflow decision.
The first thing we do on any QaaS engagement is read the release process and look at the last six weeks of bug reports. Most teams already know where the risk lives; they just haven’t been given a structured way to triage it.
